CLINICAL SUPERVISION

Clinical supervision is integral to safe, ethical counselling and psychotherapy practice. Research has found a positive correlation between the strength of a supervisory alliance and supervisees’ self-efficacy, as well as the supervisees’ professional relationships with clients. You may be interested to know clinical supervision is mandatory in the UK as part of your on-going accreditation process! I am a big advocate for clinical supervision and its importance in our field.

I have been providing clinical supervision and consultation since 2022. I received the Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) designation from the BCACC in 2024. I am currently the counselling supervisor at the Central Okanagan Elizabeth Fry Society where I support the counselling team and counselling practicum students.

I am available for individual clinical supervision and consultation to counsellors, psychotherapists, social workers, students, and other health workers looking to gain direction and insight into how they can better understand, support, and treat their clients, particularly in the areas of sex therapy, relationship therapy and sexual health.

My supervisory style is collaborative, trauma-informed and anti-oppressive.
