PSYCHOSEXUAL THERAPY

Psychosexual therapy (sometimes just called sex therapy) is a talking therapy that specialises in helping individuals and couples who experience sexual difficulties.

I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to freely explore issues that might be having a significant impact on your sexual intimacy as well as practical advice to help you overcome your sexual problems.

During the initial consultation I will ask you some questions about your personal, family, medical and sexual history in order to get a clearer picture of the problem. If you have not already, I may ask you to see your family doctor to rule out any medical issues.

Then we will collaboratively design a treatment plan specifically tailored to your needs. We may also think about the sexual issues in terms of their therapeutic meaning. It is common that sexual problems provide links to relationship problems and vice versa.

I will never ask you to undress. Any homework I prescribe will always be done in the privacy of your own home.
