Relationship Therapy

Relationship difficulties are inevitable; it’s how you tackle them that’s important. Whether you are experiencing a crisis, just need a tune-up, or want to get ahead of problems before they get out of hand, relationship therapy can help with deepening your understanding of each other as well as provide practical tools to solve problems and get you back on the same page.

What is relationship therapy?

Relationship therapy, sometimes called couples therapy or marriage counselling, is a space to explore the dynamics in your relationship, whatever stage you're at. Some people come as a last resort or after things have felt difficult for a long time. Others come for pre-emptive exploration, or simply for a regular tune-up. Issues can range from a major event like infidelity to a disconnection that's grown slowly over years.

There's no version of this that's too small or too late.

Who this is for

Individuals and people in relationships, of any structure, who want to explore what's happening in their personal relationship dynamics and work toward something that feels like it works better.

How we'll work together

I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts and feelings, along with practical tools for healthy communication, conflict resolution, and rebuilding trust.

Using psychodynamic psychotherapy, we look at how present difficulties often connect back to the past, which helps build understanding and create room for change.

Sometimes the way you relate to me in session mirrors the way you relate to people outside of it. Paying attention to that, gently, can surface things that are hard to see from the inside.

Every relationship and every family history is different, so this work is collaborative. We'll find the right path together rather than following a fixed formula.

Therapy takes a holistic approach, recognizing the connection between mind and body and how patterns might show up across different parts of your life.
